Chassagne-Montrachet 1er cru La Boudriotte The harvest is the final goal of one year work in the vines, inevitably linked to tiredness and stress with all the preparations to welcome 50 pickers in the best conditions. And as long as all the grapes are not brought in the cuverie, we are anxious to suffer hailstorm... In brief we are double-spoiled: no one hailstone on our land this vintage, and our team has been very efficient, again ! The optimal sanitary state and dry/cool weather have helped to cut all the crop in 6 days. We started the 1st of September with whites, for their advanced ripeness state compared to reds. Volumes are good, between 2013 and 2014 according to plots. End of august has been very warm, what made ripening quickly. Regarding acidities, we were expecting average levels after the warm summer, what has been confirmed on the whites. The reds have beautiful balances, but volumes are lower.
